Cypher is a modern Bulls & Cows (Mastermind-style) web game offering multiple gameplay modes and a complete cross-platform experience as an installable PWA.

Game Modes: Solo

  • practice against a randomly generated code AI
  • opponent with worker-backed guessing logic running in a Web Worker Local Multiplayer
  • pass-and-play on the same device Online P2P
  • real-time peer-to-peer play via PeerJS with QR code room sharing

Key Features: Game history with detailed statistics (win rate, average attempts) Result screenshot export (html-to-image) Configurable difficulty levels and game settings Bilingual interface (Romanian/English) Sound effects and haptic feedback on mobile Responsive design optimized for both mobile and desktop Dark/light theme toggle

PWA Capabilities: Installable on iOS, Android, and desktop Works fully offline after first load Workbox service worker with smart caching strategy

Tech Stack: React 19, TypeScript, Vite 5, Tailwind CSS v4, Zustand, PeerJS, Framer Motion, Lucide icons, html-to-image, QRCode, Vitest, Workbox PWA.
