A quiz platform for exam prep: your own or shared question sets, import from Excel, CSV and JSON, shuffled tests and progress statistics.

ExamCrafter is a quiz platform for anyone who has to work through a question bank before an exam. It starts from a simple idea: the more tests you take, the sooner you find out what you don't know yet.

Question sets

  • Every user builds their own sets, with single-answer or multiple-answer questions
  • A set can stay private, be shared with specific people or be public
  • Several sets combine into a composite quiz, for one test that covers the whole subject
  • Questions import from JSON, CSV or Excel files, so an existing bank is in the app within seconds

The test

  • Question order can be shuffled on every run, so you learn the answers, not where they sit
  • Every question runs on a 60-second timer
  • An interrupted test resumes where you left off
  • At the end you see what you got right and what you got wrong

Progress

  • History keeps every test, sortable by date or by score
  • Statistics show the pass rate, average correct answers per test and the answer distribution, in ApexCharts graphs

Account and admin

  • Sign-in with email and password or with Google, with password reset, through Firebase Authentication
  • Admins get a separate panel for questions and user statistics
  • Installs as a PWA on a phone or desktop

Tech stack: React, TypeScript, Material UI, Firebase (Authentication, Firestore), ApexCharts, Vite, Vercel.
